With news of the R7-million Vanilla restaurant being opened in October 2009 by Camps Bay restaurateur Nigel Newhouse and a consultancy line-up of Haute Cabrière chef Matthew Gordon along with a swanky architect/interior team producing a “vanilla-coated baby grand”, De Waterkant moves from building zone to happening hangout again.
