WINE columnist highly commended

Suzy Bell, freelancer and WINE magazine columnist, received a prize for her Belle Époque column in the 2nd annual SA Wine Writers Award. Her column, published in the August 2009 edition of WINE entitled To Begin at the Beginning, was highly commended by the judges. Bell received a case of selected Franschhoek wines as recognition of her contribution.

The big prize of R25 000 was awarded to Cape Wine Master Tim James, for his piece entitled Red Semillon: Return of the Wine Grape, published in The World of Fine Wine, Issue 25, 2009.
