Waterkloof's Percheron mare

Published: 20 Jul 09

HORSE POWER

Waterkloof Estate has acquired a Percheron mare, Lady G, from Bigfoot Equestrian in KwaZulu-Natal to help with the farm's bio-dynamic practices. Known for being heavily muscled and powerful, the Percheron breed makes for excellent work horses. Lady G will assist in farm activities such as soil preparation and cultivation, ranging from ridging and tilling to ploughing and sowing - reducing the usage of heavy machinery.
