Woodstock in Cape Town gets ever more trendy. Karen Dudley's The Kitchen offers cosy daytime eating 300m from Banks kitchen shop in Sir Lowry Road.

Expect a smörgasbord of delicious, healthy salads; sandwiches made on the spot; lunch plates at R45. Sweet treats tempt too. Window counter and tables are packed at lunchtime so take-aways might have to do. Tel 021 462 2201.
