Summerfields Rose Retreat & Spa's new River Café

Published: 21 Jul 09

Retreat and Eat

Cross a forested walk and stone bridge to Summerfields Rose Retreat & Spa's new River Café. Set on the banks of the Sabie River in Mpumalanga, the River Café is open for breakfasts and light lunches. Try the morning High Tea and blame the season for indulging in afternoon cakes. Or stay the night at Summerfields to try the set menu. The menu changes daily with cuisine being country style "with the emphasis on decadent taste, culinary perfection and presentation". The original Summerfields Kitchen at the estate is also still open. Tel 013 737 6500, visit www.summerfields.co.za.
