Summer in Stellenbosch

Discover the heart of the Stellenbosch winelands with the Summer in Stellenbosch Valley holiday
programme this season.

Members of the Stellenbosch Valley sub-route have compiled an exciting line-up of family fun, fabulous foods and wonderful wines from 16 to 18 December.

 


The thirteen participating wine producers have pulled out all the stops to ensure that visitors will be able to experience the essence of the valley. Their award-winning wines will definitely be in the spotlight, but additional activities have been incorporated into the programme to ensure that there is something to appeal to all guests, ranging from serious vinophiles to gourmands, parents and children.

So, what can one do where?

Asara Wine Estate and Hotel: visit the Pure Food Market or do a pizza and wine pairing.

Bein Private Cellar: enjoy a traditional Swiss delicacies and wine tasting

Devon Valley Hotel: gourmet food and wine pairing

Die Bergkelder: will host daily Fluer du Cap salt and wine pairings.

Dormershire Wines: olive tasting, don't miss the Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon while there.

Jordan Wines: wine tasting, don't miss out on the Chardonnay

Middelvlei Wines: "boerebraai" and "boeresport" games

Neetlingshof: enjoy an Argentinian inspired picnic by the dam.

Overgaauw Estate: free wine tasting, music, food, and the starting point of the Bottelary Hills Mountain Bike Route (15kms). Do the Four Decades wine tasting hosted by David van Velden (fourth generation wine maker at Overgaauw).

Stellenbosch Hills Wines: presents a Wine & Biltong adventure.

The House of JC Le Roux: bubbly and sweets pairing

Vredenheim Wine Estate: visit the Cat Park, wine tasting and dining

Zevenwacht: offers deli food and wine pairing. A special treasure hunt ending in a chocolate and wine pairing.
