WHY? Because this beautiful and historic working wine farm is also home to a fine hotel set amid manicured lawns and vineyards, and the excellent restaurant, Catharina's. Steenberg is the ideal venue for a more intimate wedding, with Catharina's able to accommodate anything from a private affair for two to up to 60 people in its various sections. The hotel will handle all the administrative work, including necessary paperwork, finding a clergyman or judge, baking the cake, flowers and even photographs. You won't be obliged to stay at the Steenberg Hotel, but why would you not want to! While the resident functions co-ordinator and Chef Garth Almazan will help to plan your day, special packages can be tailor-made to suit your needs. The "Honeymoon to Dream For" package consists of five nights' luxurious accommodation, spa treatments, golf at Steenberg's championship course, and more.
