Six Hats Shiraz

Published: 01 Aug 11

SIX PRINCIPLES, SIX HATS
Six Hats is a small, increasingly popular range of Fairtrade wines, as well as the signature of Citrusdal Wines. The wines are defi ned by six principles that make up the range’s philosophy: Partnership, Change, Potential, Equity, Dignity and Sustainability. Each hat on the label represents a different one of these principles, and both the farmer and the community is challenged to wear these ‘hats’ to help build good relationships where the best possible results can be achieved.

The wines produced aim not only to satisfy the consumer, but also to recognise that the hard work put into creating every bottle of wine by the people involved in the various processes is a great contributing factor to each bottle’s uniqueness and character. Six Hats also acknowledges the community, by giving a percentage of the sales back to help build schools, clinics and other life-improving projects.

Six Hats wines are available at the Citrusdal Wines cellar. Tel 021 863 2450; www.citrusdalwines.co.za
