Simply Good Food

Published: 27 Oct 10

FOR THE HEALTH CONSCIOUS

Doyenne of the food industry Justine Drake has released her sixth cookbook, Simply Good Food. Containing recipes that promise to taste as fabulous as they look, the book focuses on healthy eating, from breakfast to office lunches and everyday suppers. A nutritional analysis follows each recipe – a handy tool for those who are watching their diets – and interesting variations of each recipe are suggested. Watch out for the ‘things to know’ boxes, which feature fun facts and tips.

The book has been written in association with Discovery Health’s Vitality programme and offers chapters on healthy cooking and eating guidance. It demystifies nutrients, giving “the facts on fats”, “the scoop on sugar” and general advice on diet management.

Simply Good Food is available from leading bookstores for R162.50.
