Scotch Whisky Liqueur Cocktails

Published: 27 Jan 11

Scottish brand Drambuie has revived its look with a new bottle design that is set to hit local shelves this November. Targeting a younger generation of consumers and fans of a modern lifestyle, Drambuie is readily used to create a range of exotic cocktails.

Rusty Nail

Ingredients
1 part Drambuie
1 part Scotch Whisky

Instructions:
Found on cocktail menus all over the world. Originally made popular in the 1960s in Hollywood and the high octane celebrity set, The Rusty Nail adds smoothness and depth to a good Scotch. 1 part Drambuie, 1 part Scotch whisky poured over ice. Stir and garnish with a twist of lemon.

The Libertine

Ingredients
1 Measure of Drambuie
1/2 Lime
Crushed Ice

Instructions:
Instead of serving a Caipirinha, why not try a delicious Libertine? Cut half a lime into wedges, muddle/crush in glass, add crushed ice and a measure of Drambuie. Top up with a splash of soda if required to lengthen.

Espresso Martini Cocktail

Ingredients
2 parts Drambuie,
1 part Crème de Cacao
2 parts strong Espresso

Instructions:
Enjoy Drambuie and coffee not just after dinner, but any time of the day. Shake 2 parts Drambuie, 1 part Crème de Cacao, 2 parts strong Espresso and pour into a pre-chilled martini glass. Dust with cinnamon.

Drambuie Braveheart

Ingredients
1 part Drambuie
1 part Ginger Ale

Instructions:
Enjoy 1 part Drambuie mixed with 3 parts ginger ale, serve over ice and a wedge of orange. Grating fresh ginger root into the drink will add even more of a powerful twist to this long drink.
