Santé Classic Wine Trophy 2006
South African wines with a French Palate
Results of the ninth annual Classic Wine Trophy were announced recently. It is the second year running that the competition has been sponsored by the Santé Winelands Hotel and Wellness Centre in Paarl.
The Santé Classic Wine Trophy is convened by Jean-Vincent Ridon of Signal Hill winery and the object of the competition is to judge South African wines according to a French palate. Judges seek to reward those wines that show “balance, elegance and a potential for ageing”.
