Published: 28 Jul 09

Beside the seaside

Salt Restaurant & Bar offers the best daytime dining view along Cape Town's Atlantic Seaboard, hence winemaker evenings at the venue (last Thursday of the month) might appeal more for the hosting personalities and wines. Cost per head is R350 and more details can be found at www.saltrestaurant.co.za.

Salt is opening a new deli in summer.Below the Ambassador Hotel's executive suites across the road, shelves will be stocked with goods from the in-house bakery, Origin coffee, cold cuts and cheeses. Upstairs a champagne and oyster bar sounds inviting for the extensive wine-by-the-glass selection overlooking that ocean swell. Tel 021 439 7258.
