More romantic restaurants

Forget the wilted roses and cheesy card. The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, and few are the women who won’t go weak at the knees for an intimate dinner.

WHY? Because this luxury, contemporarily styled guesthouse set among orchards and olive groves on a working farm in the Elgin Valley offers excellent facilities and personalised service, and can host up to 150 guests. The rustic boathouse on the edge of the picturesque dam is perfect for a ceremony with a view, while the contemporary barn can be dressed up to satisfy all whims and budgets. The main house with its lavender borders sleeps eight, offering a homely atmosphere for the bridal couple and family or friends (there is also a self-catering cottage on the farm, with many stay-over options in the surrounding area). Rockhaven Farm is available exclusively to only one group at a time, with rates and packages customised to fit individual needs. On-site catering is also provided, but not compulsory (a charge will be negotiated for use of the kitchen and equipment). No corkage is charged on drinks.

WE THINK... that this relatively undiscovered gem is bound to become a great success in the less commercialised Elgin wine valley. The freedom to bring in your own catering and staffing also allows for perfect personalisation.
