Piz-zazze restaurant

Published: 01 Jul 09

Hearty lowveld dining

Choose from a selection of hearty meat and fish dishes at Piz-zazze just outside Sabie on the Graskop Road. Recently opened by Piet van Zyl and Ista Farmer, Piz-zazze restaurant is fast becoming a dine area of choice for diners in Mpumalanga. Interior spaces have a warm feel to it with red table cloths imitating the gorgeous aloe plants that decorate corners. The restaurant also offers a fair selection of wines at very reasonable prices, and wine tastings are often held on the premises, as Van Zyl and Farmer share a passion for "good food and quality wine". Tel 013 764 3067.

" We stayed one night in Sabie and ate at the piz-azze restuarant in Sept 2009. It was recommended to us by our lodge. We had the best all round 3 course meal we have ever had anywhere (and we had some fantastic food in South Africa). Our only regret is we are from England and it will be a long time until we can go again. All the best to Ista & Piet I think you will do very well in your new venture. P.s. Thanks for the double chocolate cheesecake receipe yummy.
