Jane’s Delicious Kitchen

Published: 27 Jan 11

COOK FROM YOUR GARDEN

Inspired by her trip to Thailand, Jane Griffiths has produced her second book on how to make the most of garden-grown veggies – whether grown in your own garden or bought at your local farmers’ market. The theme of the book is all about making the most of seasonal bounty, cooking with gorgeous ripe produce and making use of your own organic garden. The recipes vary from Asian to Italian and South African, with the focus on practicality and timesaving tips. The last few pages of the book give some superb tips on techniques, such as how to roast spices, chop mangoes (yes, there is a technique involved!) and tarting up a white sauce. Griffiths also recommends handy kitchen gadgets and provides advice on working with ingredients that you may never have encountered. Jane’s Delicious Kitchen is about celebrating the cycles of nature and making hearty, tasty meals.
