James Bond likes Graham Beck wine

Published: 31 May 11

It seems like Graham Beck bubbles is not just the choice of presidents but super-spies as well. In 2009, US President Barack Obama opted to celebrate his inauguration with some Graham Beck NV, but this year fame comes to this celebrated winery in a different format – from James Bond.

In the closing scenes of the latest book by author Jeffery Deaver, mr. Bond supplants his famed martini with Cuvee Clive, the flagship bubbly from Graham Beck!

The latest book is titled Carte Blanche, and according to reports, Cape Town is featured as the main backdrop in more than half the book following the author’s inspirational stay at the Cape Grace.
