Shake your Bisquit

Following an agreement that saw Pernod Ricard sell the "Bisquit trademark, the inventories of Bisquit's finished cognac as well as cognac distillate still in maturation" to Distell for approximately R390 million, the famous-name cognac will now be available in South Africa. Almost a year to the date of this announcement being made, an elaborate launch was held to celebrate the arrival of Bisquit in SA. Two of Bisquit's three cognacs are available locally. They are the VS Classique and VSOP Fine Champagne. Due to bottle-size regulation the 700ml XO Excellence will only be released in South Africa later this year.

At the official celebration of Bisquit's arrival in South Africa, refreshments included the Cognac Summit Cocktail, mixed as follows:

Thin slice of ginger
Zest of lime
60ml of lemonade
1 cucumber peel
