Helshoogte hotspots

The re-launched Delaire Graff Estate on the crest of Stellenbosch's Helshoogte has had a cash and creativity injection to put it back on the culinary and wine tourism map. It's ideal for absorbing views from a spacious deck, or warming at the fire inside the elegant restaurant surrounded by high-end South African art. Christiaan Campbell heads the open kitchen, offering dishes from fish and chips to scallops with peas or Elgin sirloin with shoestring fries. A cosy-casual wine-tasting lounge is a nifty touch.
