HARVEST SEASON

Christine Stevens is a fashion-buyer turned farmer, cook and author, and her latest cookbook, Harvest Diaries, tells the story of life on her organic food and wine farm – the hardships and triumphs – including tales of winemaking, farming, harvesting and cooking through the seasons. The book, divided into chapters each dedicated to one of the 12 months of the year, gives readers insight into the realities of living a country life and, more importantly, a healthy life. The diary of each month is accompanied by beautiful photography of the food and produce. Drawing inspiration from her time spent eating her way through Italian and French bistros, Stevens’ recipes are wholesome, filled with all the goodness from the earth.

Available at leading bookstores for R230.
