WHY? Because this picturesque wine farm, another Darling conservation champion, offers beautiful country weddings in a relaxed setting, and you won't have to take a second mortgage on your home (there is no venue hire). Whether it's a brunch, lunch or dinner function, relaxed or formal, from 20 up to 120 guests can be comfortably accommodated. The Manor House holds up to 80, with an outdoor courtyard area serving as a bar. Services can be held in the garden, with sprawling lawns an ideal setting for marquees or gazebos.
Hosts Shaun and Debbie McLaughlin of the renowned restaurant on the estate, Hilda's Kitchen, are "very flexible" in assisting with themes or concepts that bridal couples might have, having previously arranged Italian-styled al fresco lunches, an Indonesian Rijstafel as well as informal lunches featuring their modern country cooking. Ecellent Groote Post wines sold at cellar prices make for a considerable further saving.

WE THINK.... the rustic setting offers a relaxed, unpretentious backdrop for your wedding. We like the warmth of this true country location.

Bombay Blues

Understatement is not something you expect from an Indian restaurant. But for all its pared down elegance, Bombay Blues, Johannes-burg's newest Indian restaurant, is certainly not short on either ambience or satisfyingly complex tastes. It's North Indian cuisine at its best. For more. [click here]
