The latest haunt for Cape Town's well-heeled is a warehouse-turned-designer restaurant next to the V&A Waterfront.
Expect to be wooed by oversized chandeliers, Indian rugs, Parisian café chairs and original-sized warehouse windows in a restaurant that is situated right on the beach.
Outside, a 46-metre main deck and Indian day beds inspire languid days filled with wine. In line with the setting, the Grand Café & Beach serves ‘beach cuisine' from its bistro-style menu for lunch and dinner.
Food choices range from pizzas to gourmet crayfish sandwiches, the former proving to be particularly popular, made with a thin crust and rectangular in shape, up to 1.5 metres in size! (Tel 021 425 0551)
