Gastronomical dining

Chef Bruce Robertson, who established popular restaurant The Showroom in Cape Town before it was closed and resurrected as The Showroom Café in Long Street, has introduced a line of dining concepts aimed at the thrill-seeking diner.

This new initiative, termed The Roadshow, offer "bespoke gourmet adventures" at various sites around the Cape - from Cape Point to Langa - where Robertson prepares a meal on site for groups of travelling palates. Groups can choose from a selection of packages tailor-made to suit their specific needs.

Daring diners can investigate the "radical dining" concept, which sees Robertson present dinner parties with cuisine at an unlikely dining spot - think Makgadikgadi salt pans or the Wolfberg Crags in the Cederberg Mountains. Tel 015 793 0252 to book your wild dinner.
