From a property near the seaside town of Gansbaai in the district of Cape Agulhas comes this full-bodied wine with lots of dark fruit and firm tannins. Made in a plush, modern style, to which the fact that it spent 16 months in new French oak attests.

The reinvigoration of producer-wholesaler Distell has been a long time coming but this wine is another of theirs that proves that it is finally under way. Red fruit and pencil shavings on the nose, while the palate is medium bodied with good fruit expression and
fine tannins.
