Book review: Eat Me!

Published: 19 Nov 10

FOR THE SWEET TOOTH

Need some inspiration for Christmas treats? You’ll find it in Eat Me!, a baking book featuring 80 cupcake recipes for every occasion. Written under the pseudonym Cookie Girl (aka Xanthe Milton, who has gained a cult celebrity status in her native London’s Notting Hill for her cookies and cupcakes), the author shares her almost-childlike delight in the sweet delicacies. The book includes recipes for everything from Christmas spice cupcakes and bloody hand cookies for the holidays to blueberry clouds and pistachio rose blossom cakes for teatime treats.

Cookie Girl makes baking sexy, and with lush design and photography, anyone with a sweet tooth should have a copy of this book. Available on www.kalahari.net for R227.95.
