"DW" used to refer to a naughty weekend. Gautengers now make a meal of it at "DW" 11-13 instead. Taking its name from the Dunkeld West shopping centre address, chef patron Marthinus Ferreira sports a good culinary resume with stints at La Colombe and Le Quartier Français, then under Heston Blumenthal and Gordon Ramsay in London. His motto is "let flavours speak for themselves, without neglecting presentation" and his triple-cooked chips with ribeye and bone marrow sauce already has a dedicated following. Tel 011 341 0663.
