Cape Colony at Mount Nelson, Cape Town, closes its doors

Published: 01 Oct 10

Cape Colony, long the signature restaurant at Cape Town’s Mount Nelson, closed its doors at the end of July. The space is currently being renovated in preparation for the new eatery that will open in its place on 1 November 2010. The new restaurant will be located on the same site as Cape Colony, in the hotel’s original dining hall.

Executive chef Rudi Liebenberg and his team of specialist chefs are in the process of testing recipes which will form the basis of the new restaurant menu. A new wine list is also being compiled to complement the updated look and feel of the restaurant.
