Key findings: This category may be small but it consistently produces wines of the highest quality. It’s unlikely that Semillon will ever have a very great following, but for those in the know, there are wines of great distinction to be had.

Attractive hint of oak on an otherwise shy
nose. The palate shows both breadth and
depth with huge intensity of flavour: lime,
white paprika and vanilla. Big in structure
but well-balanced. Drink 2012 – 2014.

Some secondary notes of tinned peas and
asparagus on the nose. The palate shows
good texture and a range of fl avour from
herbaceous through citrus to stone fruit.
Bright acidity, oak well judged. Drink
