Bodum tumblers
DE-STEMMED
Bodum first introduced stemless wine glasses in the early 1990s but, historically, drinking wine from tumblers is not uncommon – Italy has led the way in Europe. Still, it may take some convincing to get South African wine drinkers to sip their Cap Classique out of a tumbler.
While the idea may not appeal to everyone, these Bodum tumblers are practical for braais and picnics, and they fi t easily into the dishwasher. The manufacturer promises that the glasses won’t stain or scratch and a ridged grip area reduces hand contact and the resultant heat transfer.
The range consists of a Bodum Champagne tumbler (ARP: R95), a white wine tumbler (ARP: R105) and a red wine tumbler (ARP: R115). Available at Chefs Warehouse (tel 021 422 0128) or go to www.yuppiechef.co.za.
