WHY? Because this landmark Stellenbosch wine farm, part of the Arabella group, has all the charm you would expect of a heritage spanning more than 300 years, and there's no shortage of pretty settings for photography. Have your ceremony on the lawn in front of the 18th century Manor House, with a reception at the Barouche Restaurant (seating up to 100 guests), where traditional South African and European-style cuisine is served. Outside areas can also be utilised for larger groups, with the option of a banquet, a cocktail function or even a picnic. Several menu options are available whether individually plated or buffet style. Think feasts encompassing traditional African, Cape Malay, South African braai or Mediterranean fare. Wines can be chosen from a lengthy list with corkage charged per bottle of non-Blaauwklippen wine.
