Best wine list in the country

In the annual Diner's Club Wine List Awards, Cape Town luxury resort One&Only won the Best Wine List in South Africa Award.

Both its restaurants - Nobu by Nobu Matsuhisa and Maze by Gordon Ramsay - received Diamond Awards, the competition's highest possible accolade. Over 5 000 wine bottles are stored in the resort's Wine Loft. "In addition to about 450 South African wines of every possible variety and style, the list also boasts at least 150 international trendsetters as well as classics from the Old World." This year's Best Sommelier Award went to Pearl Oliver from Catharina's at the Steenberg Hotel.
