5 SA eateries in world's top 100
At this year's S.Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants, five SA eateries were among the World's Top 100, two of which are in the Top 50. La Colombe, in Constantia, CT, and Le Quartier Francais (LQF), in Franschhoek, were awarded 38th and 37th place respectively. Chefs Luke Dale-Roberts (La Colombe) and Margot Janse (LQF) both attended the awards, the latter the highest-ranking restaurant in the Middle East & Africa for the third consecutive year.

Two Cape Town restaurants, Jardine and Aubergine, also made it onto the Top 100 list, as well as Rust en Vrede in Stellenbosch. Top of the list, for the fourth year in row, is Ferran Adrià's elBulli, in Spain.
